Sometimes children feel as though they have no control over what is happening to them.
 
As a child therapist, using Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques, I can help young people take back control of their thoughts and feelings and use them in a way that benefits them instead. 
 
If your child is struggling with anxiety, anger, or a lack of self-esteem or confidence, I'm here to help them get their mojo back!
 
All they need is the desire and commitment to make a change.

WHAT IS NEURO LINGUISTIC PROGRAMMING?

As a child therapist, I use Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), which is a cognitive, solution focused, therapy that helps people of all ages understand what makes you tick – how they think, feel, and make sense of everyday life.

NLP is a practical tool kit for the mind that will help you identify and process your thoughts and feelings to get the results you want in life!

NEURO

How you experience life events and translate this into thoughts and feelings using your five senses.

LINGUISITIC

How you attach verbal and non-verbal language to your experiences and communicate with yourself and others.

PROGRAMMING

How you learn and repeat thought patterns based on your experiences, which influence your behaviour and ultimately the results you get in life.

WHAT CAN NLP BE USED FOR?

As a child therapist, I can use NLP to help with any of the below challenges:

  • I want to help my child improve their mental health.

  • Can I help my child to learn to overcome their unhelpful beliefs and behaviour patterns.

  • I would like my child to be able to increase their self-esteem and confidence.

  • I want to help my child overcome anxiety.

  • Can I help my child in learning to reduce their stress.

  • I want to help my child in positively changing the way they think and behave.

  • I want my child to be able to communicate more effectively with those around them.

I use highly effective tools and techniques to:

  • Increase your child's self-awareness, drawing their attention to how they use language in verbal and non-verbal communication and the effects this has on their behaviour.

  • Put them back in control of their feelings and thoughts and be able to make positive changes to the patterns of behaviour that stop them from achieving their goals.

  • Empower each young person to take a step back and gain a new perspective of past experiences.

  • Allow them to be open to the options available to them instead of feeling restricted by their life experiences.

  • Strengthen their resilience and confidence to manage life’s challenges in the future.

  • Allow them to understand their own mental health and how to support it.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

I offer therapy appointments online or face to face in Marlborough, Wiltshire or Newbury, Berkshire where we'll explore the issues your child has been facing. This provides you and your child the opportunity to get to know me better and ask any questions you may have.

My aim is to get to work straight away and help your child start seeing positive results. This means that once we know what the problem is we will turn our attention to focusing on the solution instead.

We will typically work together for three to six sessions. The regularity and number of sessions will be tailored to your child's needs and is dependent upon how you feel they are progressing as we work together.
